10th Anniversary for FLAD

 Providing service for Higher Education

     On February 14th, 2005 FLAD celebrated it's 10th anniversary.  As a result of these ten years it has been able, again, to confirm it was justified in placing it's faith in Ecuador and in it's studious and hardworking youth.

     FLAD is the first private institution in Ecuador dedicated to Educational Finance, with the mission of helping young Ecuadorians, with excellent academic levels but who have not enough financial resources to continue their Postgraduate, Masters or Phd studies.

• Between 1995 and 1998, 65 young professionals took advantage of the educational finance agreements offered by the Foundation and completed their studies inEcuador, USA, Argentina, Spain, Italy, Australia and Mexico.

• In 1998 the Foundation signed agreements with the Universidad Politécnica Salesiana del Sur, in Quito and with the Pontificia Universidad Católica, in Ibarra.  These agreements allowed us to finance pregraduate studies for 50 young men and women of limited financial resources per year, and at the same time allowing them to finance thier Postgraduate studies..

• By 2004, more than 500 students have benefitted from our educational finance.  However the demand is enormous and this forces us to continuosly structure campaigns to capture funds through doantions.

• $373,655 dollars have been dedicated to educational finance during the first 10 years of operations, in favor of 598 students.  At this time 60% of the yearly loans comes from loan repayment.
